This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the use of innovative pedagogical technologies in teaching genetic processes in the secondary and higher education system, their role in the development of students' scientific thinking, interactive, information and communication and STEAM productions. Practical justification of laboratories, virtual simulations, problem-based learning, planning activities and research methods for testing genetic competencies is given.
