Abstract

This article examines the surface interaction mechanisms of collector reagents and approaches to selecting the optimal collector scheme in the flotation of copper–molybdenum (Cu–Mo) sulfide minerals. Literature analysis and laboratory experiment results confirm that the chemical structure of collectors, sorption (adsorption) mechanisms on mineral surfaces, pH, oxidation state, and the use of depressants are crucial factors for enhancing flotation selectivity and optimizing concentrate quality. The recommended optimal scheme must be experimentally validated according to the mineral composition and industrial conditions.
