This article explores how games can be used to address specific learning
goals and objectives, including problem-solving, critical thinking, language
acquisition, and social-emotional learning. The article also examines different game
mechanics and design elements that contribute to learning, such as feedback systems,
challenge, immersion, and player agency. There is also provided insights on how
educational games can be adapted to fit the learning context, subject matter, and age
groups of the audience. The article concludes with a discussion of the potential
benefits of role-playing games in promoting social-emotional learning and cognitive
development among children
