Abstract

This thesis discusses the significance of innovative assessment methods in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL). It focuses on how modern evaluation strategies — such as formative assessment, peer assessment, self-assessment, and digital assessment tools — contribute to improving students’ language competence, motivation, and autonomy. The research highlights the shift from traditional testing to continuous, learner-centered assessment approaches that reflect real communication skills rather than rote memorization.
