This study investigates the scientific foundations and practical prospects of developing highly sensitive smart sensors and luminescent coatings based on MXene nanomaterials. The electrical conductivity, large specific surface area, chemical stability, and optical properties of MXene nanostructures are analyzed, highlighting their significance in advanced sensing technologies and functional coating applications. The results demonstrate that MXene-based materials represent a promising platform for the fabrication of smart sensors capable of detecting gases, biological targets, and environmental parameters with high accuracy and sensitivity. Furthermore, the role of MXene nanomaterials in improving the optical efficiency, sensitivity, and functional performance of luminescent coatings is substantiated. The findings indicate the substantial potential of MXene for next-generation sensor systems and advanced optoelectronic applications.
