The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has significantly transformed the educational environment, creating new opportunities for knowledge acquisition, scientific research, and independent learning. At the same time, the widespread use of AI tools has introduced additional challenges related to information security, personal data protection, digital privacy, cyber threats, academic integrity, and the reliability of AI-generated content. In this context, the development of students’ information security competence has become an essential objective of contemporary higher education. This article examines the theoretical andmethodological foundations of developing students’ information security competence in the context of AI-assisted learning.
