THE ROLE OF SPONSORSHIP AND CHARITABLE FUNDS IN EXPANDING THE FINANCIAL CAPACITY OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
Sponsorship and charitable contributions are important components of the financial resource base of non-profit organizations because they connect social initiatives with private individuals, business entities and community groups. Unlike many project grants, such resources can potentially provide greater flexibility in supporting communication, organizational development, co-financing and urgent needs. Their real value, however, depends on the conditions of the contribution, the stability of the relationship and the organization’s ability to maintain transparency and trust.
