Ushbu maqolada neyroglial hujayralarning turlari va ularning markaziy asab tizimidagi roli keng yoritilgan. Neyroglia (glial hujayralar) markaziy asab tizimining tarkibiy qismini tashkil etib, neyronlar faoliyatini qo‘llab-quvvatlovchi, himoya qiluvchi va trofik (oziqlantiruvchi) funksiyalarni bajaradi. Maqolada asosan astrotsitlar, oligodendrositlar, mikroglia va ependimotsitlar kabi glial hujayralarning tuzilishi, joylashuvi va fiziologik ahamiyati tahlil qilinadi.
