The article examines the concept of a teacher’s emotional intelligence and its impact on the effectiveness of the educational process. It reveals the structure of emotional intelligence, its significance in the professional activity of a teacher, as well as the ways of developing and enhancing this quality. It is noted that a high level of emotional intelligence contributes to creating a favorable psychological climate in the classroom, increasing students’ motivation, and ensuring the successful achievement of educational goals.
