THE ROLE OF DIGITALIZATION IN THE NATIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article examines the multifaceted role of digitalization in strengthening the national security framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Through comprehensive analysis of policy documents, legislative frameworks, and empirical data, this study demonstrates how Uzbekistan's strategic digital transformation initiatives serve as both enablers of national development and critical components of security architecture. The research reveals that digitalization functions as a dual-edged instrument in national security: while enhancing state capacity, economic resilience, and administrative efficiency, it simultaneously introduces new vulnerabilities and threat vectors that require sophisticated mitigation strategies. The findings indicate that Uzbekistan's approach to digital security represents a comprehensive model that integrates technological advancement with security imperatives, positioning the country as a regional leader in cybersecurity governance while addressing emerging challenges in the digital age.
