Ushbu maqolada alternativ tibbiyotning tarixiy rivojlanishi va u bilan bog‘liq ijtimoiy konstruksiyalar tahlil qilingan. Tadqiqot davomida qadimgi sivilizatsiyalardan tortib, zamonaviy davrgacha bo‘lgan bosqichlarda alternativ tibbiyotning turli shakllari, ularning asosiy falsafiy va diniy tamoyillari hamda jamiyatda qanday ijtimoiy baholanganligi o‘rganildi. Tarixiy-solishtirma va sotsiologik konstruktivizm metodlari orqali shuni ko‘rish mumkinki, alternativ tibbiyot har doim jamiyatdagi salomatlik tushunchasining madaniy va mafkuraviy ko‘zgusi sifatida shakllanib kelgan. Ayniqsa, XXI asrda ekologik ong, texnologik rivojlanish va ruhiy muvozanatga bo‘lgan ehtiyoj ushbu yondashuvga bo‘lgan ijtimoiy talabni oshirmoqda. Maqolada alternativ tibbiyotning sog‘liqni saqlash tizimiga ijtimoiy va tarixiy kontekstda integratsiyalashuvi chuqur tahlil qilinadi.
