Abstract

This article investigates the possibility of obtaining natural corrosion inhibitors from pomegranate peels and tea waste. The study analyzes the chemical composition of these plant-based wastes, particularly the presence of polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids, and other biologically active compounds capable of forming protective layers on metal surfaces. The corrosion inhibition efficiency of extracts obtained from pomegranate peels and tea waste, as well as their environmental safety and economic advantages, are discussed. The results demonstrate that these natural raw materials can serve as promising and eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic corrosion inhibitors. Furthermore, the utilization of agricultural and food industry wastes contributes to environmental protection and sustainable resource management.
