Gender has become a key focus in modern linguistics, examining how gender phenomena manifest in language and translation. Research priorities include classifying gender terms, exploring psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects of gender in communication, and analyzing gender-marked units across languages. Translation studies investigate translators’ gender features and the cultural specificity of gender concepts. Literary translation requires balancing fidelity and artistic quality while considering cultural and gender factors. Gender linguistics thus represents an interdisciplinary field with applications in translation, sociolinguistics, and intercultural communication.
