Abstract

In recent years, the issues of separation of heavy metal ions from water and industrial waste, their recycling and storage in an environmentally safe form have become of great importance. Fe(II) and Ni(II) ions are metal ions that actively participate in biological and technological processes, but in excessive quantities have a toxic effect. Therefore, immobilized sorbents based on nitrogen and oxygen-containing ligands (i.e., a complexing agent attached to an immobile polymer or inorganic carrier) play an important role in their effective capture and complexation.
