Teaching English language skills in EFL contexts requires teachers to have strong language knowledge, professional teaching skills, and modern pedagogical competence. In today’s education system, EFL teachers are expected to teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing in an integrated and communicative way. This article explores the main requirements for EFL teachers in teaching English language skills effectively. The study focuses on linguistic competence, pedagogical knowledge, classroom interaction skills, technology integration, and assessment practices. The findings show that effective EFL teachers must combine strong English proficiency with communicative teaching methods and learner-centered approaches to develop students’ real-life communication skills.
