Abstract

This article examines the scientific and pedagogical foundations of integrating music theory with exact sciences in specialized boarding schools. The interrelationships between such concepts of music theory as rhythm, meter, tempo, interval, pitch, frequency, musical form and digital notation, and the disciplines of mathematics, physics and computer science are analyzed. The article substantiates the potential of interdisciplinary integration for developing students’ musical-analytical thinking, logical reasoning, mathematical understanding, musical perception and digital competencies. Methodological directions for applying an integrative approach in music theory lessons are also proposed. The study demonstrates that integrating music theory with exact sciences represents a promising pedagogical approach that facilitates holistic understanding of educational content and connects theoretical knowledge with practical musical activities.
